“It’s an unmissable offer but he said no”: Maurizio Sarri refused a lot of money | It’s not the right bench

Surprising revelation about the Tuscan coach, who, as specified, has declined a rich proposal for the continuation of his career.

In recent months the adventure of Maurizio Sarri at Lazio it stopped. The Tuscan coach felt he had lost control of the team, and following the terrible results obtained he decided to resign from the Biancoceleste club.

Since then, however, there has been nothing but talk about his future. The Tuscan coach has been linked to several clubs, both Italian and beyond, but to date none of these have seemed really interested in the 65-year-old coach. In reality there is one club in particular that would have really stepped up to put him on their benchoffering Sarri a rather important salary.

The coach, however, as specified in recent revelations, decided to decline the proposal for a very specific reason. The chance for the team to be coached by the master born in Naples is therefore gone.

Here is the club rejected by Sarri

In recent hours, Alessandro Pellegrini, Maurizio Sarri’s agent, explained during an interview that his client rejected an important and rather rich proposal from Greece, more specifically from Panathinaikos.

The former Juve and Lazio coach said no so as not to move away from Italy, politely declining the offer. However, the agent wasted no time in thanking the Greek club anyway for this opportunity and above all for the way in which the company conducted the negotiation.

The words of Sarri’s agent

“I feel obliged to thank the club, the top managers and those who did everything to bring Maurizio to Greece. We were struck by the style highlighted in the negotiation, a fair play with few precedents. They came to Italy, they met us, they made a golden offer that on paper was indispensable. Only for Sarri it is a particularly delicate moment, at least in these weeks she doesn’t feel like leaving Italy.”

“But Panathinaikos really did a silent and admirable pressing, repeating on several occasions that they would wait to fulfill their dream of putting Sarri at the center of the project. We had to decline the proposal for the aforementioned reasons and because it seemed right to put them in the position to make another choice. But we are grateful and hope that in the future there may be another opportunity, they have been extraordinary with us.”
