E-Work is ready to welcome Princess Amy Jakpa and Emilie Brzonova. In fact, all that is missing is the official status to see the 20-year-old pivot and the 18-year-old playguard wearing the Faenza tank top. The former center from Moncalieri, in the Piedmontese club since 2021 and with whom he played in A2 and A1, will be the reserve of the long players together with Martina Fantini and will bring great physicality to Seletti’s roster.
The Czech (but Italian-trained) winger will instead replace the American point guard, alternating with Rachele Porcu, and Franceschelli. For the former Stella Azzurra Roma player it will be her debut in the top flight. However, wingers Francesca Leonardi and Sara Ronchi have faded. The first will remain with Derthona with whom she won promotion to A1, while for the former Udine, the Romagna club backtracked after some evaluations on the player, even if objectively it was difficult for her to lean towards Faenza given the many suitors. The knee injury suffered in mid-December will lead her to be ready to return to the field only at the end of September, a timescale that E-Work cannot wait for, having a ‘short’ staff and with many young people who must be ready immediately to give precious minutes.
Thus Anna Turel’s candidacy is back in vogue, followed for several weeks, fresh from promotion with Alpo Villafranca. As for the starting five, there is optimism for the signing of the German Marie Reichert, a power forward from 2001, while for the American point guard and pivot, the management is looking into many profiles, especially among the rookies. The other two starting players are the captain Federica Franceschelli and the French Sara Roumy, signed last week.
