Milan reinforces place 3 with the Serbian Kurtagic

MILAN– One of the brightest promises of international volleyball arrives at Vero Volley Milano. President Marzari’s club has signed Hena Kurtagic, a very young Serbian central defender, born in 2004, who after four seasons in her homeland at OK Tent Obrenovac and a year spent in France at Neptunes Nantes is now ready to make the big leap to the Women’s Serie A1.

THE CARREER-

195cm of pure power, Kurtagic crushes at 320cm and blocks at 305cm. Already part of the senior Serbian national team (she is currently involved in the Volleyball Nations League), over the years she has won numerous individual titles as the best central defender of her national team from Under17 to Under20. In her palmares she includes a Serbian Scudetto, won in the 2019/2020 season with OK Tent Obrenovac and a French Cup won last year with Neptunes Nantes.

Historical curiosity: Hena Kurtagic already knows Vero Volley, in the 2020/2021 season with the shirt of the Serbian OK Tent Obrenovac she faced the Monza team in the semi-final of the CEV Cup (first leg played at the Monza Arena on 24 February 2021), already tasting the atmosphere of a match in the Consortium’s arenas. That same CEV Cup was later won by the pink and blue in Istanbul against Galatasaray.

The words of Hena Kurtagic-

« Wearing the Vero Volley shirt is a dream come true. I have very high expectations for next season, I want to give my best in every competition I play. I chose Vero Volley because of all the clubs it is the one with which I can grow the most. I will also have the opportunity to play together with the best players in the world and thanks to them I will learn a lot on a technical and tactical level ».
