From two to five competitions, from the 43 games played last season to the dream of playing 67 (and it will certainly be at least 51), over a much broader geographical span and in an extended time space: the 2024-25 version of Juve is expected from a significant increase in load in numbers, in the expenditure of psychophysical energy, in the honors (possible) and in the burdens (certain) of a season that will begin on August 17 with the championship and will end between the end of June and mid-July 2025 depending on how far the team manages to travel in the USA.

But let’s go in order, starting from the certainties, represented by the 38 matches of the championship. From January the Italian Cup will also enter the scene, in which Juve will participate from the round of 16: like last year, they will be played in a single match, as well as any quarter-finals, while the semi-finals will consist of a home and away match. Therefore the Bianconeri will be expected by a number of matches ranging between 1 and 5 if they reach the final. The season just ended had stopped here. The next one will see Juve take to the field in the Final Four in Saudi Arabia, at least on January 3 or 4 in the Super Cup semi-final, if it goes well also on the 7th in the final of the competition.

Then there are the two international fronts: the coveted Champions League, which debuts this year with the new formula, and the Club World Cup, scheduled in the USA between 15 June and 13 July 2025. The new Champions League, with 36 teams compared to 32 in previous editions, includes four groups of 9 teams and guarantees each qualifier a minimum of 8 matches (4 at home and 4 away). From the round of 16 onwards, a series of double challenges will decide the next round: whoever reaches the final on 31 May in Munich will play 15 matches. The format of the Club World Cup instead involves the composition of 8 groups of 4 teams, with the top two classified promoted to the round of 16. From here on the passage to the next round will be decided in a single match. If three matches are therefore certain, reaching the final would mean playing 7 matches. For a total of a season of 67 races, in case of winning the 4 finals up for grabs. A crazy achievement, but never say never… Just to stay grounded, Juve will start again in pursuit of the minimum objectives set by the club: team classified in the top four places in Serie A, in the round of 16 of the Champions League and in the semi-finals of the Cup Italy. For a match list that still has (a minimum of) 55 games.
