Sport invades the coastal beaches

A great sports festival, a unique opportunity for Rosolina Mare and a forerunner of the new summer season. I’m talking about “Rosolina Beach Games 2024” which does not double but triple compared to the last edition. There will be three weekends instead of one; a preview dedicated to dance, which took place last 25-26 May, and then we will get to the heart of the event on 7-8-9 and 14-15-16 June. Everything is ready for the great event organized by “No Way Rovigo” and the Municipality of Rosolina.

Rosolina Beach Games involves the economic, institutional and cultural operators of the areaand will be one of the references among Italian beach festivals with the aim of becoming a protagonist in Europe too in the next three years.

In this edition, more than 2 thousand athletes from 13 different Italian regions will arrive in the seaside resort.

During the press conference for the presentation of the event, in addition to the mayor Michele Grossatothe councilors were present Alessandra Patrian, Sara Biondi, Pako Massarothe organizer of the “No Way” event Manuel Tosatti and media partners Delta Radio.

“We are proud – explain the councilors Stefano Gazzola and Alessandra Patrian – to host a big event like this, a winning combination between sport and tourism, the driving force of an economy that is the winning card for the progress of the territory and our locality”. And councilor Alessandra Patrian underlines: “Given the great participation last year, we thought about tripling it. There will be many sports that have decided to join this beautiful event, with a great synergy between sport and tourism. I thank ‘No Way Rovigo’, the local operators and Delta Radio. All athletes will be given a Po Delta promotion kit.”

Particular praise for the event also comes from the words of the mayor Michele Grossato for whom the public-private collaboration achieved in the organization of the Rosolina Beach Games is proof of synergistic and team work which also in this case sees the administration and operators of the territory committed to important results for the benefit of the all-round promotion of the locality. Councilor Sara Biondi argued that: “This event, in which many people will participate, is a great incentive for trade. Born from Beach Volleyball with the Delta Beach Marathon in 2018, in collaboration with Bagno Perla, since 2023 the event has moved to the free beaches of Rosolina Mare with different disciplines capable of involving tourists, citizens and athletes in a format that represents a great opportunity for sport, tourism and social aggregation”.

In the full “Think local act global” approach, i Rosolina Beach Games are a multiplier or a concept of the territory which, thanks to the synergy between ‘No Way’ and the various local sports associations, is bringing each discipline to reach a national dimension. Many sports organizations will participate in the event: Beach Rugby Rosolina Rugby, Beach Tennis – BT Cup, Asd Rosa Pineta, Rosolina, Beach Soccer Unified, Learnable, Equal Differently Rovigo, Boxe Pugilistica Rodigina Rovigo, Beach Volleyball – Delta Beach Marathon, Beach Volley Padova, MiniBeach Volley, InSand Cup – Fipav Rovigo, Tchoukball – Asd ThouckBall Lendinara, Street Dance- ShowBeez – Golden Age ssd Cesena, Dance – Il Campus – Porto Viro.

Over the weekends, a packed program will alternate sports, entertainment and culture. Stands out, on the day of Saturday 8 June at 9pm on the external stage of the Congress Center, the show “Alice in Wonderland” directed by Matteo Campagnol and Irene Silvestri.

To underline the strong relationship with the tourist fabric of Rosolina Mare, inside the welcome kit, Rosolina Beach Games will include, in addition to the technical material, the information brochure on Rosolina Mare and the Po Delta, agreements for restaurants, bars and beaches dedicated to athletes and material from the “Beekeepers of the Po Delta” associationa reality with which Rosolina Beach Games wants to raise awareness of environmental sustainability.

Rosolina Beach Games is an inclusive event because it offers activities on free beaches, then ranging into competitions with a range of 5-65 yearsthanks to the fitness area, content inserted to raise awareness of physical activity among people of advanced age or who do not practice sports.

It should be added that Rosolina Beach Games also organized the first unified beach soccer tournamentwhere athletes with relational and non-relational intellectual disabilities share the sporting and social experience.

The event will be broadcast live on Delta Radio, directly from the playing fields, together with the Ecoambiente and Loro-luce e gas boxes.
