12.42: There were immediate attacks in the first kilometres, but the group doesn’t let it go.

12.39: The official departure has been given.

12.36: In any case, given the supremacy demonstrated, the Danish Magnus Cort (Uno-X Mobility) starts again as favourite, and will also wear the yellow jersey as leader. Challenging him are Primož Roglič (BORA – hansgrohe) and Matteo Jorgenson (Team Visma | Lease a Bike). Italy once again relies on Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek), who was excellent fourth yesterday.

12.32: 181.7 kilometers to go starting from elles-sur-Durolle. After a few kilometers here is the first GPM of the day, fourth category, Côte d’Augerolles (2.4 km at 5.7%). Long flat stretch before arriving at the Côte de Saint-Victor-sur-Arlanc (3.3 km at 8.8%). From there on there is not a meter of plain: in rapid succession Côte de Retournac (3.2 km at 5.3%) and Côte de Valogeon (2.1 km at 5.1%). Arrival at the summit is not very difficult with the Côte des Estables (3.8 km at 4.9%).

12.27: The news at the start is that of Antonio Tiberi’s absence at the start. The Italian rider from Bahrain Victorious had broken away yesterday on the first climb and decided to withdraw from the race also due to the tiredness accumulated at the Giro.

12.25: We begin the live broadcast of the third stage of the Giro del Dauphiné 2024.

Good morning friends of OA Sport and welcome to the LIVE LIVE of the third stage of the Giro del Dauphiné 2024. After yesterday’s uphill finish at the Col de la Loge, the riders will face another tough section.

We will start from Celles-sur-Durolle to arrive in Les Estables after 181.7 kilometres. I start with some ups and downs and the fourth category GPM of the Cote d’Augerolles (2.4 km at 5.8%). There will be more difficulties in the second part of the stage: we start with the second category of the Cote de Saint-Victor-sur-Arlanc (3.3 km at 8.8%) and then continue with the third category of the Cote de Retournac ( 3.2 km at 5.4%), the fourth category Cote de Valogeon (2.1 km at 5.1%) and the final ruggedness of the Cote des Estables (3.8 km at 4.8%), preceded by a descent to Freycenet-la-Tour.

It will be a fraction that could suit the characteristics of the finisseurs: therefore Primoz Roglic will still be among the main favourites, after coming close to winning yesterday and only being beaten by Magnus Cort. The Dane himself will try to defend the yellow jersey tooth and nail. Also pay attention to the quick start and resistance to these rough edges Mads Pedersen. They can even try again Giulio Ciccone, Matteo Jorgenson and will try to unlock Remco Evenepoel.

OA Sport offers you the LIVE LIVE of the third stage of the Giro del Dauphiné 2024. We leave at 12.25pm. Good fun!
