France coach Didier Deschamps gave a long interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport. In which he touched on various topics such as Spalletti’s Italy towards the European Championship and above all that of the renewal of the French midfielder Adrien Rabiot with Juventus. His words:

Juventus, Rabiot renewal: Deschamps speaks

ITALY – “It’s a harsh judgement. Italy won the European Championship with the strength of the collective. Maybe in the past there were at least a couple of champions, but you have excellent players and some interesting young players. Despite the two missed qualifications for the World Cup, Italy remains very competitive”

RABIOT – “I know he’s fine in Turin where he remained last year without the Champions League, but he could play next season. We talk about it sometimes, it’s up to him to decide, he’s free and has a lot of choice.”

POGBA – “I’m sorry. We talk often. He’s been through a difficult period. I would have taken him to the World Championship if he hadn’t been injured. Knowing him, I can’t believe he did doping voluntarily. However, there is one positive thing, we are awaiting the appeal from the Tas. I hope to return to the pitch, he has the mental strength to do so.”
