in Liv AlUla Jayco crowned the four days of the Vuelta a Andalucía by winning three out of four stages and taking the first three places on the podium in the general classification.

The team was at its best on day one as Silke Smulders took her first professional win with Mavi García and Ella Wyllie completing the podium. In the second and longest stage, the Spanish champion García showed us her strength by winning solo and taking the lead in the general classification right ahead of Smulders.

After finishing third in the first stage and third overall, the penultimate day saw New Zealand champion Wyllie get the chance to shine as she brought home another Liv AlUla Jayco, again with a hat-trick.

Finally today Quinty Ton had the chance to shine and came close to the team’s fourth consecutive stage win, but was overtaken at the finish line by Arleinis Sierra and still took a nice second place.

Mavi García, overall winner of the Vuelta, explains: «I am very happy. We all worked very well in this race together. We won three stages, we got on the overall podium and it was a great pleasure, and we are all very proud. Today was a really good day, the whole team was committed to working to try to win the stage to sign the poker. In the end, we didn’t win but second place is important, we also fought hard for the mountain grand prix for Alex and we won it. We worked to keep my overall yellow jersey and I think everything was really fantastic and I’m very happy with this victory.”
