“I deserve the official team. If it didn’t happen, a perfect circle would end badly”

The world championship leader spoke on the eve of the Catalan Grand Prix, expressing his choices for the 2025 season

Jorge Martin he was clear: his future must be in Ducati and specifically in the official team alongside Francesco Bagnaia. The Spanish driver is having an excellent season with the team Pramac enough to be in command of the MotoGP World Championshiphowever the only possibility he sees for the future is the “Red” from Borgo Panigale. The Iberian centaur reiterated this clearly on the eve of Catalan Grand Prix where he will try to move up in the standings.

“The choice is complicated, we know that Marquez is powerful at a marketing level. But, at the same time, I know that in an official team I can become even stronger – explained Martin in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport -. The percentages? I would say 95% Ducati, 1% other manufacturers. I’m calm, as a rider I’m happy where I am, but each of us has the ambition of going to an official team and I think it’s time.”

A statement that sounds like more than a warning from the Madrid talent which, if Ducati’s choice were to fall on rival Marc Marquez or on the renewal of Enea Bastianini, would lead to a definitive closure with the Italian manufacturer: “If they don’t choose me to joining Bagnaia would mean badly closing a circle that could be perfect, I’m very calm, because I can go wherever I want.”
