96 teams in 4 conferences and 2 divisions

The reform of the FIP championships also leads to changes for the Interregional Serie B starting next season. In 2024/25 the Championship will be divided into 4 conferences with 2 divisions per conference made up of 12 teams per division totaling 96 teams.

TWO PHASES
First phase
Each team plays home and away matches within its own group, a total of 22 games.

Second phaseat the end of the first phase the teams are divided into Play-In Gold and Play-In Out

The top 6 in each division participate in the Play-in Gold. Home and away matches are played with the teams from the other division, a total of 12 matches. The teams take into the standings all the points obtained, only in the direct clashes, of the first phase. At the end of this second phase, a direct elimination draw is made up of the top 8 teams classified in the Play-in Gold phase. The best of three games are played. The first and possible third race will be played at the home of the best classified.

PROMOTIONS AND RETROCESSIONS
The winning teams in each individual conference (total 4 teams) are promoted to the men’s Serie B championship for the 2025-26 sports year.
The teams ranked from 7th to 12th place in each division participate in the Play-in Out. Home and away matches are played with the teams from the other division, a total of 12 matches. The teams take into the standings all the points obtained, only in the direct clashes, of the first phase.

At the end of this second phase, the teams classified 1, 2, 3 in the Play-in-out Group are safe and will take part in the inter-regional B Championship for the 2025/26 sports year.
The team ranked in last place in the “Play-in out” division is directly relegated to the men’s Serie C championship for the 2025/26 sports year.
The teams ranked from 4th to 11th place in the Play-in out division will take part in the final play outs to determine the two relegated teams (losers of the second play out round) in the men’s Serie C Championship for the 2025/26 sports year.
