On the beach the Beach Volley Italia Tour starts again

The 2024 edition of the Bper Beach Volley Italia Tour, now in its ninth year, was revealed in Cesenatico. In fact, the summer tour was presented on the terrace of Bagno Milano, which will take place over four months and will visit six Italian regions in eight stages. After the start in the winter phase and the great event of the Club Series Finals at the beginning of May in Cesenatico, the Italian world of sand sport par excellence faces a new adventure. In the control room is the Aibvc, the Italian beach volleyball club association, which organizes the event together with the promoting body Asi and Bper Banca. It will start this weekend, while the last stage will be scheduled for September. There will be several historic locations, but also many new ones.

The first appointment is at La Prora in Pescara, a beach that attracts many athletes, as it is a reference location for the entire movement. In the month of June we will go to Tuscany to Castiglione della Pescaia from 31 May to 2 June and Marina di Grosseto from 7 to 9 June at Cieloverde Camping Village. Subsequently, from 21st to 23rd June there will be a stop at Bagno Delfino in Cervia, while from 5th to 7th July we will go to the Marche region, to another reference point such as Pesaro and its Circolo Maracanà. The next stop will be in Abruzzo with Roseto for the third consecutive year at the Lido Mediterraneo, the destination of many sub-network battles and great entertainment. Between the end of August and the beginning of September we will return to Puglia, to the Lido Smeraldo in Frigole, in the province of Lecce, and then play the last stage in Lombardy, in Bergamo, from 6 to 8 September, with the spotlight on the Elettrocanali Beach Village Scanzorosciate.

The numbers are important, given that 1,500 matches will be played with a thousand athletes involved, 100 thousand spectators and 1 million 250 thousand people reached in live streaming. Thomas Casali, owner of Bvu, the Beach Volley University of Cesenatico, is among the pillars of the organization: “We are ready to experience a spectacular and intense summer with the Bper Beach Volley Italia Tour. There is always a great emotion when you begins, players, promoters, coaches, organizers, all share the same passion for this sport. In addition to Bpèer, we are joined by Decathlon with a new ball and Bvos for the technical material. The average age of the players is getting much lower, many of them who, coming from the youth sector of the clubs, are starting to approach our tour”.

The champion Gianluca Casadei from Cesena spoke like this: “I’m still on the field and I’m happy to act as a mother hen for many young enthusiasts of this sport, which is growing rapidly”. Camilla Pedraglio, Bper’s external relations manager, follows the event with great interest: “Beach volleyball is a sport of excellence in Italy, capable of bringing together many fans. We have been promoters and supporters of the tour since the first edition and we believe in it”. Returning to Cesenatico, other weekend tournaments are expected from June.
