The Tracer has been overtaken by the new queen of Yamaha. It is now the top of the range, both in terms of price and performance.
The technical data sheet of new product model from the House of Hamamatsu, which we are about to tell you about, is amazing. With its performance and an attractive price, Yamaha’s new motorcycle has become the top of the range, managing to overtake even the tireless and iconic Tracer. The latter has been produced since 2015 and has now reached its second generation, the 900 GT, with the same engine, fairing and chassis as the standard one, with the addition of standard side bags.
The adventurous spirit of the Tracer immediately won over Yamaha’s large clientele and, even today, it stands up to the fierce competition on the market. In fact, in 2023 it was the third best-selling motorcycle in Italy, just below the Honda Africa Twin and the very first Benelli Trk 502.
Now, however, the House of Hamamatsu has created a two-wheeler that exceeds all expectations. In fact, the new model produced is preparing to be the top of the range, but it is an evolved version of an example that has made the history of the Japanese brand, namely Ténéré. It was December 1983 when it was produced for the first time, based on a name inspired by the word of the Tuareg tribe located in North Africa, which means solitude or desert.
Yamaha, the Tracer sensationally bypassed
Yamaha Ténéré, since its birth, he immediately demonstrated to be able to go where other motorcycles couldn’t. Today he has reached the top of the range, sensationally beating even the beloved Tracer, but he did it using a secret trick.
In fact, the House of the three tuning forks has relaunched the Ténéré model, trying to meet all those who want to try their hand at sporting events. Its off-road spirit is for all bikers who want to have fun in complete safety. Furthermore, now with the GYTR kit it has further demonstrated its role as queen of the desert. Thanks to this addition, it is capable of facing events such asAfrica Eco Race without any kind of effort.
In short, we are talking about a tough and pure rally bike, with high suspension, as well as a center of gravity and which, even at speed above 80 km/h, it is not afraid of any type of unexpected obstacle. Thanks to the adjustment of the handlebars and suspensions, it is possible to become more in tune with the vehicle, so as to make it more precise and stable when moving. The kit is made up of three very specific steps: Performance, Handling and Rally, so as to be able to configure the motorcycle to the rider’s needs.
