In a largely restructured lineup and with nothing more to ask of the championship, the Rugby Anzio Club ends his season by giving in for 38 to 27 in the house of Rugby Roma Olimpic in the fifth and final return leg of the Serie C promotion group. Match which started immediately uphill for the fifteenth of Ghellini, with two tries conceded in the first 7 minutes which practically cut off the blue and whites’ legs. In the first half, Anzio managed to react with a goal Santarcangelo and one of Stefano Pacchirotti which set the score of the first half at 19 to 12.
In the second half a placed immediately brought the RAC to within four, and the match from then on experienced phases of great balance. After the fourth goal of the Capitoline team in the seventh minute, in the 25th minute it was Tumbarello to realize a collective action that was worth 26 to 22. The comeback, however, did not materialize and in fact it was Roma Olimpic who closed the score with two tries in the space of two minutes. In the end it was the veteran who rounded the score to 38 to 27 Terenceas soon as he entered, at the end of a scrum near the end area which allowed his team to earn the offensive bonus point.
The simultaneous 50 to 7 defeat of Abruzzo Rugby at home to Lazio left the ranking unchanged, with Anzio which closed the Serie C promotion group with a prestigious third place. The final ranking of the championship sees the victory and the rise to Serie B of SS Lazio Rugby 1927 with 48 points, Nuovo Salario second with 42, Anzio third with 24, Abruzzo Rugby 21, Rugby Roma Olimpic 13 and Arieti Rieti 5.
The year, which will end with the last commitments for the youth teams, will officially end on1st of June with the big end-of-season party at the via Ardea field, which starts at 4 pm.
