In the positive moments we also managed to express good volleyball, while in the dark phases we suffered narrow defeats that we could have transformed into victories with little effort. In the long run, always losing in the same way, that is, two sets ahead of our opponents and then recovering, has influenced us in reaching the play offs. We could and should have done more, especially away from home because points are worth double. We are unable to play the “dirty play” such as an extra dive, a cover or an extreme defense to be able to bring home fundamental points.” The turning point? «The defeat of Asola. From there it all went downhill. Inexperience and young age were important factors, but not too much. This situation of “disorientation” could have existed at the beginning, then over time it had to mature. Furthermore, there are also other technical and tactical factors that have had a negative impact.” The club’s goal was the playoffs. «There is regret because even on the last day we had the match under control, then we threw it away together with the play offs. Don’t forget that the team survived on the last day last year. Going from safety to fighting for top positions is a good leap forward and a good starting point for the future.” What championship was it for Cordani? «I’m happy with my season because it was different given the last four years spent with the Gabbiano. I get along well with everyone and there have never been any problems between us. For the future I don’t know because I haven’t had any conversations with the managers yet.
