The third adventure of Giampaolo Medei in red and white opened today with the Press conference afternoon presentation atHotel Cosmopolitan of Civitanova Marche. The technician from Treia, new head coach of Cucine Lube Civitanovawas greeted by journalists and fans with a big applause.
Strong one two-year contract with the chef association and supported by Romano Giannini as right-hand manthe coach born in ’73 wants to relaunch a Lube talented and hungryfrom thelower average agewith the aim of building a winning group And compete at the highest levels.
For Medei it is a homecoming after his experiences as a protagonist in Türkiye, on the bench of Ziraat Bankkart, with the victory of the National championship (2021), and in Poland, at the reins ofAsseco Resovia, complete with a European triumph in the CEV Cup (2024). The technician’s arrival in Civitanova Marche can be defined as a “Medei 3.0”. The coach worked on the staff of sang from 1994 until 2001 (Junior League win in 2000), and then entered from assistant coach in the first team from 2001 to 2006 winning 1 Scudetto, 1 Italian Cup, 1 Champions League and 2 Cev Cups. After a triple training experience in France, the coach from the Marche then returned to Lube as head coach in 2017/18 and in the first part of the 2018/19 season leading the team to fight all the way on all fronts. Among the most brilliant results stands out theOlympic silver in Rio with the Italian national team from second coach of Chicco Blengini. The flashback and the consequential third marriage between the Cucina Club and Medei lay the foundations for a year of reconstruction in which the possibility of competing in the Challenge Cup will do its part to cement the game and team group.
