Rugby – Elections: Italicovale presents itself

The Italicovale group that will take the field in the next federal elections for the renewal of the highest positions in Italian rugby was presented today. Below is the press release issued:

The team includes former male and female players with proven professional experience in the field of management of public and private organizations including: Antonio Spagnoli, Mauro Nori, Davide Franco, Vicenzo Albini, Italo Carli, Cristina Tronchin, Samanta Botter and Luigi Toson.

The group presents itself at the elections with the aim of building an “Italian way to rugby”, respecting and benefiting the entire national rugby movement, made up of five areas of interest on which to work: organisation, training, competition, communication and promotion.

“We respect those who work every day for the good of the movement and we are ready to involve those who want to join us to actively contribute to carrying out a path of development and growth with passion, ethics and competence – explain the members of the Italicovale team -. The inclusiveness of our team consists in discussion and dialogue with all people, the Presidents of clubs, the male and female athletes, the referees, the parents of the young rugby players, the educators and the reference figures of this sports that, sharing our intent, want to make their experiences available for the good of the movement. The goal is to build a cohesive, inclusive, ambitious rugby movement in which support, respect and collaboration are as true as the people who animate it are true.”

The idea of Italicovale’s rugby movement is identified in the values that immediately inspired the construction of the team that takes to the field today: passion, ethics and competence. In Italicovale’s vision, the movement will have to become an “aggregating machine” that includes everyone and in which competent people are welcomed based on affinity of approach and intent. Italicovale is therefore aiming for inclusive and sustainable growth, during which the results will be a consequence of the growth itself, and not just the prerequisite for development. Every person who is or will be part of the movement will be adequately trained and informed so that they can contribute to the proper functioning and development of the movement itself.

“We are aware that this project represents an ambitious challenge, as it is ethical before sporting. We trust in the commitment and passion of all the members of our beloved Rugby to start from the future!”

We believe the 5 areas of interest highlighted in the introduction are part of as many stages of a natural as well as logical path.

Our Federation must be rethought and rebuilt to be closer to reality, more user friendly.

By Federation we must mean the entire movement, from the clubs to the central bodies through the committees. The clubs are the Federation not an entity in their own right. The reform must be carried out following a vital path, respecting the values mentioned, which we love as much as we are proud to live in our clubs.
