The German club, in fact, won the second leg in the semi-final against Mbappé and his teammates, thus reaching the Wembley final. In addition to the revenge on the pitch, however, the Gialloroneri also wanted to get one on social media by retweeting an old photo published in 2020 by PSG after the passage to the quarter-finals.

The reason for this retweet is easy to say: the French social media manager had published the photo of the Parisian players in a “meditation” pose, but it was a clear mockery of Erling Haaland’s celebration, then a Borussia player and scorer of the brace (which later proved useless) in the first leg. The Norwegian had in fact celebrated in his own way, but had then received ridicule from Neymar and his teammates after the 2-0 at the Parc des Princes which had overturned the 2-1 at Dortmund.
