An experience full of pathos but with few results, the one experienced by the provincial selection of Rovigo Under 14 women and Under 15 men of volleyball at the 22nd Aequilibrium Cup Territories trophy, which took place last weekend in Treviso with the participation of the representatives of Venice, Treviso-Belluno, Verona, Trentino, Padua and Vicenza.
Only defeats for both Polesine selections, with the women’s team taking a set from Vicenza. Led by the technical staff made up of Paolo Ferrioli and Laura Luce, with accompanying manager Federico Bertaglia, the female Under 14 Selection was made up of Eleonora Salvan and Anna Squizzato from Volley Ball Polesella; Emily Fonseca Co’, Giorgia Lenoci and Matilde Pancaldi of Gs Volpe; Ayane Marchesani of Adria Volley; Noemi Brancaleon of the San Bortolo Sports Club; Alissa Spinola from Volleyball Occhiobello; Rebecca Marangon of Project Star Volleyball; Irene Drago, Letizia Garbato and Denise Targa of Real Pontecchio; Martina Amidei and Emma Merlin of Ellepi San Giusto Volley.
Moving on to the Under 15 men’s selection, the Rovigo representative took a set from Vicenza and one from Verona. Led by Andrea Boscolo and Alessandro Naso with accompanying manager, the Rovigo selection was made up of Pietro Assanelli, Mattia Prando and Pietro Prando of the Gs Giuseppe Avanzo Pallavolo Badia; Iacopo Grandi, Sas, Lorenzo Zaghi and Edoardo Zanetti of Adria Volley; Nicola Muraro of the Polisportiva Qui Sport Trecenta; Aimè Fiacre Diatta, Pietro Brazzo, Pietro Dolcetto, Ettore Quadrelli and Michele Zennaro of Tumbo Rovigo Volley; Matteo Piva of Delta Volley Porto Viro. Referees Jarno Dardani, Giulia Miazzi and Greta Tellarini were also present for Fipav Rovigo.
Thus Natascia Vianello, provincial president of Fipav Rovigo: “The Territories trophy has historically been a difficult sporting experience for Rovigo if we think about the results but it remains an experience that the kids can fully enjoy which allows them to return to their clubs stronger than before and aware of the work that needs to be done”.
