F1 Red Bull – While waiting to understand what type of path Adrian Newey will follow for the future, Red Bull has consolidated the leadership of Pierre Wachè and Enrico Baldo within the technical staff working in Milton Keynes. According to what was reported by the English newspaper racingnews365, Christian Horner has put the projects for the medium and long term “in black and white”, supporting – also economically – the contracts of the current Technical Director and the Aerodynamic Manager of the Anglo-Austrian team, for a long time sought by Mercedes and Ferrari.
Horner, as he has already widely declared during the last world weekend in Miami, wants to minimize the effects of Newey’s farewell (effective even before flying to Florida for the sixth round of the championship), guaranteeing the team solid foundations on which structure their future, also in view of the important regulatory change – aerodynamic and technical – expected for 2026. Hence the choice to “consolidate” the position of the 49-year-old Frenchman, fresh from a renewal – it is said – until 2028, and of the 43 year old Italian.
The position of Max Verstappen remains to be understood: the Dutchman is sought with a certain insistence by Mercedes, ready to do the impossible to bring him to Brackley (there is talk of an offer of 130 million euros), but a possible choice of this type will depend on the guarantees that Red Bull will offer for 2026 and on the technical project that the Anglo-German team will put on the table for the future. We will certainly know more in the coming weeks.
