The Teramo athletes of president Guglielmo D’Ugo, coached by Andrea Carriero and Raffaella Preziuso, outclassed the same age groups from Pratola and Sulmona
TERAMO – The extraordinary girls of Progetto volley Teramo, coached by Andrea Carriero and Raffaella Preziuso, became territorial champions (Teramo-L’Aquila) in the U13 category.
The championship victory came after two heart-pounding matches, both ending in the fifth set against the direct competitors of Max Pratola Volley and Pallavolo Sulmona.
In addition to the undeniable technical growth, the girls showed commendable grit and audacity for young people; especially on the Sulmona pitch the Teramona team sold their lives dearly, demonstrating strong nerves even during episodes of dubious sportsmanship by the host club. Special mention for the president Guglielmo D’Ugo who reiterates the commitment and effort necessary to move a corporate machine that has many members, in addition to the many championships, both series and category. However, these successes confirm the quality of youth work, as also demonstrated by the recent Gold Quality Mark awarded by the Italian Volleyball Federation.
