Penultimate day of the regular season in the Serie B national volleyball championship. The Cus Bari team from Bari are expected from the nearby away match in Gioia del Colle. A race that does not reserve any particular ideas other than improving one’s haul in the standings. In fact, two teams are facing each other who have little to say about the season: Gioia del Colle out of the promotion game despite their third position in the standings and Cus Bari capable of reaching the survival quota early. Both, however, determined to honor the championship until the end and not spare dunks and defensive recoveries.
In the first leg match, the Cussini suffered the superiority of their opponents who were able to take advantage of their greater experience and extra centimeters in front of the net. A clear 3-0 despite a match played point for point until the end. It was January 14th and the people of Bari suffered their first home defeat of 2024 which anticipated a negative series of 6 defeats, interrupted on March 10th by the victory in the important away game in Turi. But now it’s a whole different story.
Cus Bari wants to finish on a high note, confirming their good form and perhaps recovering positions once again after demonstrating that they have well understood and defended the cadet series as a freshman.
