There’s a festive atmosphere in Lessona. Slightly earlier than that of June-July which brings many young people to the country. Bonprix TeamVolley will play its last home match of the season on Saturday, at 8.30 pm against the strong New Volley Adda. Above all it will be an opportunity to greet and thank the fans, fundamental in achieving the second consecutive salvation in the national Serie B2 championship, achieved last Saturday.
Coach Fabrizio Preziosa explains: «We will be facing a technically very strong opponent, who throughout the season has always been in third/fourth place and therefore close to the playoff zone, with significant offensive quality. They have a battery of high-level attackers, with two central defenders and an opposite player notable for the category, but also two position-4 players who know how to handle quick balls. We will have to be good at withstanding the impact, but the most difficult thing will be to get back into the rhythm after having achieved safety. Our mission will be to give continuity to recent performances and achieve the latest objectives. We want to surpass last year’s points quota, update the club record and try to balance the score of victories and defeats. It would also be nice to beat a top team, finishing with a prestigious victory in front of our fans. To settle would be very serious, it would mean not having made the leap in mental quality and still being immature. Last Saturday we celebrated, we rested and now we have to recharge, working for another fifteen days in a certain way. Being safe we can also allow ourselves to play loose, increase the quality and demonstrate that we could perhaps even have done more. Let’s continue to accelerate.”
Adds the band Rebecca Guzzo: «It was a special week, because after last Saturday’s victory the technical staff gave us a few more days of rest. Certainly, the match against New Volley Adda will not be an easy match. However, after Gorgonzola’s hard-earned victory, the climate will be much more serene, because we will no longer feel the tension of having to save ourselves. We will play calmly and will be able to demonstrate what we are capable of, despite the challenging opponent.”
