It takes a stomach to call the coming weekend the biggest in the club’s history, if your club is Harlequins Football Club, founded in London 158 years ago.

But Alex Dombrandt and his teammates, close to the match against Toulouse on May 5th which will qualify for the Champions Cup final, have no awe: “I haven’t seen any kind of fear this week – says the number 8 of the Quins and the ‘England – Only enthusiasm and smiles. This is the most important week in the club’s history. We want to get to the bottom of both competitions, the Champions League and the Premiership.”

“As a group we believe in it. We have already won in France a couple of times, against a very strong Racing team and a Bordeaux team in very good form. Stade Toulousain are a team of superstars, we know we have to go there and score tries, go there and attack.”

The semi-final between the team of Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack and the team of Marcus Smith and Alex Dombrandt is very promising, and will most likely also field Louis Lynagh on the wing, the only Italian player to reach this match at sidereal levels, given the injuries to Dino Lamb and Ange Capuozzo.

The Quins must give their all in this month of May: on Sunday 5th the trip to Toulouse to play the final, on Saturday 11th at Exeter and on Saturday 18th at home against Bristol for the last two days of the Premiership which are worth a qualification for the still pending playoffs . The team is fifth, tied with Bristol, fourth, in a race that is still very open for several teams.

“We know the challenge ahead – concludes Dombrandt – but we know that this season we have shown that we know how to be physical, that we know how to start strong, score early, build and grow within matches.”
