Volleyball Serie D

Valenza returned to Serie C. And it did so in great style, dominating the championship right from the start and still today being the only unbeaten team in group A of the regional Serie D. On Saturday evening at the Palasport in Valenza the epilogue was staged that everyone expected and hoped for, but which no one, due to excessive superstition, had dared to clearly pronounce on the eve. With the round success, 3-0 at the end, against Safa 2000, a good team that however has nothing more to ask for this season, coach Jacopo Valentini’s “terrible girls” have mathematically won the championship in advance and will now be able to play the last matches, even with the right commitment to honor the tournament as best as possible, in complete tranquility after months of matches that were almost never in question, but always “drawn” against opponents who necessarily saw the goldsmiths as the team to beat and against whom to multiply their energies to try to obtain a prestigious result.
Saturday’s match, in front of a large audience ready to toast, in a duly festively decorated sports hall, had practically no history: Senkova and her teammates, driven by strong motivations, won easily. Saturday 4 May, at 6.30 pm, another home match: the opponent of the day will be Vivi Energia Pallavolo Scurato.
Enthusiasm skyrocketed, as you can imagine, at ZS CH Valenza: «We dominated the championship from start to finish, with a team that fielded a mix of young and expert players with a characteristic that proved to be fundamental: the confirmation of the “hard core” of the last two years, with players still burned by last season’s relegation, animated by a strong desire for revenge which was decisive, together with the addition of players of a certain caliber who allowed us to win” , comments the manager of the Valencian volleyball club, Davide Spartà.
