The Serie A basketball championship 2024-2025 will begin on September 29 and end on May 11, 2025. This was established by the LBA club assembly. The season will open on September 21st and 22nd with the Super Cupthe Final Eight of the Italian Cup it will be held in Turin from 12 to 16 February 2025.
Regarding the rewards for the next season, the Assembly “expressed a favorable opinion on maintaining the formula currently in force which will now be submitted to the Italian Basketball Federation for approval”.
“The assembly then formulated – it is written in a note released at the end of the meeting – its best wishes for a rapid and complete recovery to the president of the FIP, Gianni Petrucci, and his wife, after their resignation from the hospital facilities in which they had been hospitalized following the road accident on April 6th”. “At the same time, having taken note of President Petrucci’s decision to run for a new mandate – it is still written in the press release – at the helm of the Italian basketball federation in the elections scheduled for 20 and 21 December 2024, the League expresses great appreciation for his commitment to the relaunch of the Italian basketball movement, underlining the effort made in recent years”.
