A podium room dedicated to fair play
Marc Marquez And Francesco Bagnaia they have already ended up on the ground in battle in Portimao after an attack in Turn-5 by the Gresini driver which was followed by an immediate response attempt by the reigning two-time world champion. This precedent certainly led the two champions to be more careful yesterday in the close duel in the stadium area from which Bagnaia emerged victorious.
Marquez went inside into Turn-9, Bagnaia crossed and although he wasn’t completely matched with his rival’s Ducati, he kept the inside into Turn-10. Between two the contact was remarkable to the point that the black stripe on the Spaniard’s suit at the end of the race was eloquent for the spin he received, but there were no controversies in the post-race with the Cervera phenomenon who defined what happened as a fight “like old times”.
In the podium room Marc Marquez said that he raised the bike a little because he expected a response from Bagnaia, who in turn said yes having closed the steering inwards a little to decrease the ‘impact’ angle.
Marco BezzecchiInstead, he told Marquez that he learned to do Turn-8 after being overtaken by the Gresini rider. In the video above you can relive the dialogue between the three riders who reached the podium in the Spanish GP in Jerez.
