Great performance by the Italian against the French Caroline Garcia: the Tuscan is now close to the top 10

Paolini is immediately in control and Garcia is not on the day. It can be seen from the fourth game, where the Frenchwoman struggles enormously to hold serve and cancels 4 break points. It’s the prelude to a run of 12 points to 2 for Jasmine who finds the keys to the first set and takes it home in 35 minutes. Garcia is completely out of the game and Paolini goes up 2-0 at the start of the second set, but has an empty pass that seems to give the world number 24 a chance, who goes up 2-2. It’s a flash in the pan, because Paolini wins 4 games in a row which gives her access to the round of 16. The 76% of first serves and 88% of points with the first service ball are one of the keys to the success of a mature player, who is now scary on all surfaces.
