Itas Trentino’s race in the 2024 Play Offs ends in game 4 of the Final for 3rd place. By losing 1-3 tonight at the Allianz Cloud in Milan, the Italian Champions had to definitively give way to the hosts, ending their run in the Italian championship at the foot of the podium. The pass for participation in the 2025 CEV Champions League, guaranteed to those who won the bronze medal in the final draw, therefore goes to Allianz Milano, but Trentino Volley (which in the next season, consequently, will play the CEV Cup instead) will still have the opportunity to say goodbye to the highest continental club competition in the best possible way, playing the Final of the 2025 edition on 5 May in Antalya against the Polish side Jastrzebski Wegiel.
Trentino Itas will arrive at the challenge that will award the title of European Champion with 47 official matches behind it and all the indications (positive and negative) collected in the last period and in particular in the series with Milan. Today’s result that sealed the duel was also in this case far too severe for a team like Soli’s who, after a bad start, tried to get back on top by playing to the best of their current possibilities. Having won the second set with momentum, after losing the first by failing to recover from the initial break made by the Milanese team, Itas Trentino fought for a long time even in the third and fourth sets, thanks to Kozamernik’s outbursts (5 blocks out of 11 winners of the team bear his signature) and those of Michieletto (best scorer of his team with 19 points). It wasn’t enough to bring the contest to at least a tie break because Podrascanin and his teammates found themselves facing an unstoppable Ishikawa; with 28 personal points (20 only in the last two partials) the Japanese dragged Allianz in all the delicate phases of the match, leading them by the hand towards the prestigious finish line.

Below is the scoreboard for game 4 of the 3rd Place Final Play Off Credem Banca 2024 played tonight at the Allianz Cloud in Milan.
