Florence, 26 April 2024 – It is not an exaggeration to define Tuscany at the top of the world, not for the results of the athletes but in the organizational field. Today in Florence at Palazzo Sacrati, headquarters of the Tuscany Region, the presentation ceremony of “Toscana Tricolore 2024” took place which includes eight events with the awarding of 25 titles, including road, track and off-road and the estimated presence of 2,500 athletes between males and females. The “Toscana Tricolore 2024” program is dedicated to 4 great cycling champions and personalities, Gino Bartali, Alfredo Martini, Gastone Nencini, Franco Ballerini and the time trials in Grosseto to the three amateur cyclists, Antonio Panico, Roberto Seripa and Nilo Nardini, died in Braccagni on 14 July 2022 hit by a car while traveling in a group of twenty cyclists.

The trials of the female debutants and students are scheduled for 6 July in Lucca, followed 24 later in Marginone di Altopascio by the male trials of the 1st and 2nd year debutants and students. On 22 September numerous titles will be up for grabs in the Pump Track specialty at the Alfredo Martini cycle track in Ponte Buggianese, and finally on 6 October on the Island of Elba in the Campo area, the enduro tricolor for all categories, men and women. The tricolor event is sponsored by the Tuscany Region, the Metropolitan City of Florence, the Mountain Union of Mugello Municipalities, by the municipalities of Florence, Grosseto, Sesto Fiorentino, the City of Lucca, Calenzano, Rufina, Scarperia-San Piero a Sieve, Montecarlo, Ponte Buggianese , Altopascio, Campo nell’Elba. Worth mentioning is the collaboration of the Italian Cycling Federation and the Professional Cycling League.
