In Pino Torinese, the wait for the Giro d’Italia is characterized by solidarity. The pink race will travel the hilly roads on May 4th, during the first stage starting from Venaria Reale and arriving in Turin. Tomorrow, Saturday 27 April, the town will be crossed by the charity cycle “When the bike meets Emergency”. We leave at 2.30pm from Superga, with arrival expected by 5pm at the auditorium of the multifunctional center in Piazza Montessori, where a snack will be served.
Here, at 6.30 pm, the docufilm “My Northern Cape… For Sudan: a journey for Emergency” will be screened. Tells the young woman’s experience Gloria Cammarata, who last year started from Pino and, cycling, reached Norway raising funds for the association. Participating costs 5 euros (bicycle ride, snack and screening) or 3 euros (snack and screening only), which will be entirely donated to Emergency.
The May 4th, before the race starts (around 3.45pm), the caravan of Giro sponsors will stop at the intersection of Strada Torino and Via dei Colli. The program of events continues even after the race: 10 May “He was wrong as a professional, Marco Arturi tells Gianni Mura” (at 9pm, auditorium in Piazza Montessori); 12 May passage of the IX Granfondo Internazionale Briko Torino (at 11am, intersection between Strada Torino and Via dei Colli); May 18th Mountain Bike XC Race.
