With a splendid action in the final moments Isaac Del Toro Julio Alvarez Mendo won the first stage of the Vuelta Asturias, from Cangas del Narcea to Pola de Lena of 179 kilometers. The Mexican talent of UAE Team Emirates made the difference 4 kilometers from the finish line when he went alone to catch the fleeting Serrano and Diaz and then went straight towards success. A strong action by Del Toro who achieved his second victory of the season after the second stage of the Santos Tour Down Under obtained in January.
Del Toro, who will start tomorrow with the general classification leader’s jersey, triumphs with a 1’01” advantage over teammate Rafal Majka and 1’04” over the Uruguayan Fagundez
