The MotoGP regulations will change from 2027 with numerous variations
There will be some innovations for MotoGP starting from 2027, aimed at simplifying the bikes, increasing safety and facilitating overtaking which remains the main hub of Motorsport. The displacement will be reduced from 1000 to 850cc, the bore from 81 to 75 mm, the use of bio fuels, clean but less efficient, and the passage from 22 to 20 liters in the tank. From 2027, pilots will arrive at the braking point more slowly, therefore they will have to brake a little earlier and those following closely will no longer have the problem of dirty air on the wings which in turn translates into difficulty slowing down. The weight will also undergo a slight variation, going from 156 to 153 kilos, and there will also be a simplification of the technique and the open rule of concessions. In this context, new incoming manufacturers such as BMW could benefit. Finally, the total sharing of the GPS at the end of each session, which will become public domain in order to represent a good added value for TV and for those who provide information, but also a small tool to facilitate the teams who will in fact be able to get to know each other more specifies the trajectories and speeds of opponents.
