Very easy victory for Jasmine Paolini on her debut in the WTA 1000 in Madrid. Tuscany clearly beats Andorra Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, born in 2005, 6-0 6-1 and goes to the third round without worries. It will be the French girl’s turn Caroline Garciawith whom they are 1-5 behind in previous matches (only victory in Guangzhou in the final of 2023).
The first set starts very well for Paolini and very badly for Jimenez Kasintseva. Everything, simply, starts from two considerations: Jasmine’s ball weighs much more, and furthermore the Andorran makes a lot of mistakes. The second partial starts along the apparent lines of the first. This is because, despite the fact that the Italian rose to 3-0 again with a double break lead, the second and third games were much more competitive, with Jimenez Kasintseva managing to push harder and with greater profit. Now, clearly, the obstacle will be different and of greater value, but a debut like this, well centered, gives hope for Paolini.
