Achille Polonara gave a long interview to Il Resto del Carlino. The Virtus Bologna winger spoke about the physical situation after having the testicular tumor removed in recent months: “Everything is going well. The latest check-ups were in order and therefore I am very happy. I am also happy with the fact that the contribution that I am providing to Virtus is increasing. And if at the beginning I was struggling, because I wasn’t in top shape, now I feel like I had nothing. This I think is important for me and for the team.”
Disappointment after Vitoria for missing the EuroLeague playoffs. “It wasn’t positive because we had to try to make the playoffs the way we started. After the defeat in Baskonia we were very disappointed, but now the only thing we can do is focus on the championship and our goal must be to win it.”
Race for the championship. “Let’s hope: after three finals lost in Italy I have exhausted the no twos without threes so I would like to conquer it and I will be much more aggressive than before to reach the final and then to win it”.
