Another playoff night in the NBA. Two games, one per conference, between surprises and confirmations. Hit by the Miami Heat, who put the series back on its feet at the TD Garden by winning game 2 in a clear and even somewhat surprising manner Boston Celtics 101-111. Erik Spoelstra’s team, which is unlikely to see their star Jimmy Butler again, is carried away by Tyler Herro, author of 24 points and 14 assists with 6/11 from three points, assisted by Bam Adebayo’s 21+10. After a balanced first half, the break comes in the third set, with a 10-0 break from which Boston is unable to recover, with coach Mazzulla achieving little or nothing beyond the usual pair Jaylen Brown-Jayson Tatum.
Furthermore, tonight is a historic evening for Miami, which signs the franchise record for three-pointers made in a single playoff game: 23 at the end for Herro and his teammates on 43 attempts, a percentage of just over 50% which enormously helped them overcome what is widely considered the best team in the League. Boston will now have to regain the field factor in one of the next two matches in Florida.
The match between, however, has no history Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans, with the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference going 2-0 with a 124-92 win in a challenge decided from the first minutes. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander makes waves with his 33 points, with a alongside him Chet Holmgren who has already settled into the playoff climate with a performance of 26 and 7 rebounds. On the other side, with Zion Williamson absent, the best is Jonas Valanciunas with 19 points and 7 rebounds.
