The first phases of the Provincial Youth Championships of the CSI, Committee of Faenza, Lugo, Ravenna have concluded and Volleyball Cervia 1969 brings four teams to the Play Offs.

The Under 18 Blue, first place in its championship, is preparing to face Modivolley in the quarterfinals.

The Under 16 Blue team, winners of their group, have already overcome PSG 88 Granarolo in the quarterfinals and must meet Pallavolo Faenza in the semifinals.

The Under 14 Verde team, third in its group, beat Volley Castel Bolognese in the quarterfinals and will meet VBR Blu Lugo in the semifinals.

The Under 12 Azzurra, after third place in the championship, meets Pallavolo Mordano in the quarterfinals to reach the semi-finals.

There are concrete possibilities of bringing all these teams to Massa Lombarda, site of the Finals for 1st/2nd place and 3rd/4th place for the U18, U14 and U12 on May 18th.

The Under 16 Blue team is certainly aiming for the Final which will instead take place with home/return matches on dates to be defined.

These results are part of a very positive balance sheet of the volleyball season in which the number of athletes’ memberships has increased (of which over 100 are active) and that of collaborations with the various figures necessary for carrying out the activity (12 between technicians, Team manager, referees and scorekeepers).

In the Minivolley promotional activity, Pallavolo Cervia permanently has over 35 girls, from 6 to 11 years old, followed by 4 instructors.

Regarding the competitive activity, which Pallavolo Cervia carries out with the CSI Committee of Ravenna, almost 70 girls are active and participate in 5 provincial championships (Under 12/Under 14/Under 16 (with 2 teams)/Under 18). Each Group is supported, in training and matches, by 2 coaches and 1 Team manager.

Pallavolo Cervia, founded in 1969, has the aim of spreading the practice of sport in general and volleyball in particular. The spread of sports practice is seen as a fundamental factor in trying to obtain an overall improvement in one’s quality of life and it is for this reason that it is not limited to having teams participating in “competitive” championships, but tries to offer girls and young people, the possibility of practicing the sport of volleyball.
