Mantua The A3 Promotion play-off is preparing to experience its epilogue with the third and final match of the series. Tomorrow at 7.30 pm, at the PalaSguaitzer, Gabbiano Mantova and Banca Macerata will meet for the beauty. After the home success in four sets of the Mantua sextet, the Macerata team responded in game 2, with a comeback that led the locals from an initial 0-2 to a last-gasp success in the tie-break. At the end of a match as daring as it was spectacular, the situation returned to perfect parity. The winner of the third match will acquire the right to play in the 2024/25 Serie A2. For the Top Team it would be a feat in the first year in A3; for Macerata it would be the opportunity to return to the category after having played a year in A2 in 2018/19, in the tournament preceding the birth of A3 Credem Banca. The defeated team will still have a second chance: they will resume the race towards promotion from the play-off semi-finals.
