Michele Vitali he spoke about what remained of his years at the beginning of his career at Virtus Bologna on the eve of the match against his Unahotels Reggio Emilia (played on Monday 22 April) on the pages of Il Resto del Carlino – Reggio Emilia.
Youth in Bologna. “Apart from the season in Serie A, I did my entire youth career there with Giordano Consolini, so I learned a lot on a technical level and in terms of general maturation, managing to manage the difficult moments. Because it’s precisely when things don’t go the way you would like that you become a better player: learning from mistakes.”
Who can hold the best aces between the two teams. “At this point of the season the two teams know each other very well. The details will make the difference: the loose balls, an extra winning defense, the amount of extra energy that can be put on the field.”
There is one Segafredo player who has particularly surprised Vitali so far. “Not surprised, because we’re talking about a true champion. But Marco Belinelli really is having an incredible season, even though many were giving him up too soon. He didn’t need to prove anything but he proved those who criticized him completely wrong.”
