20Th Century Studios has released a new photo of a Xenomorph online from Alien: Romulus (WATCH THE FIRST TRAILER), the new feature film of the beloved sci-fi horror saga that began in 1979 with the masterpiece directed by Ridley Scott.

Alien: Romulus, things to know

This horror-thriller brings the hugely successful franchise back to its roots Alien: While scavenging in the depths of an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

The cast of the film includes: Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Darkness and bones), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun) and Aileen Wu. Alien: Romulus is directed by Fede Alvarez (The House, Man in the Dark) based on a screenplay written by Alvarez himself together with his frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (The man in the dark – Man in the Dark), based on the characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. The film is produced by Ridley Scott (Napoleon), who directed the original Alien and produced and directed the new films of the saga, Prometheus And Alien: CovenantMichael Pruss (The Boston Strangler) and Walter Hill (Alien); while Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (Charlie’s Angels), Brent O’Connor (Bullet Train) and Tom Moran (Unstoppable – Out of control) are the executive producers.

Alien: Romulus directed by Fede Alvarez (The House, Man in the Dark) will hit theaters next August 14th.

The cast includes David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu, alongside Cailee Spaeny.
