LOWER MOLISE. There is also Noemi Lucrezia Eremita from Molise in the selection of the K2 Women Team who will be at the start of the Giro del Mediterraneo in pink. The stage race starts today which will see athletes from all over the world involved for five days from 19 to 23 April. Noemi Lucrezia Eremita, the only Molise athlete in the group, will run her first race of the month of April and in which she aims to immediately leave her mark. The UCI 2.2 category stage race which will unfold between Campania and Puglia for a total of 521 km.
We start from Frattamaggiore for a stage of 106 km and with an uphill finish that is difficult to interpret, again Campania for the second stage from Montefalcione to Torre del Greco of 103 km. The caravan will then move to Puglia for the three final stages which offer scenarios for all tastes. The longest stage will take place on Sunday, starting and finishing in Barletta after 122 km and then arriving in Castelnuovo della Daunia which will host the penultimate stage of the race. The Giro Mediterraneo in rosa will end in Montecorvino with a 92 km stage which will reward the winner of the final time classification, but also the best young rider and the leaders of the points classification and best climber.
Alongside Noemi Lucrezia Eremita there will be 5 other athletes led by sports director Enrico Giuliani: Giulia Giuliani from Abruzzo, Vittoria Ruffilli from Piedmont, Alice Papo from Friuli and the Tuscans Gemma Sernissi and Rebekka Pigolotti.
