Lucera and Monti Dauni ‘to pedal’

Lucera and Monti Dauni will be the territory involved in the third edition of the Giro di Puglia Cycling Challenge, an event promoted by the Puglia Region to enhance and encourage slow and sustainable tourism also in Capitanata, after the first two stagings in the south of Bari and in Salento.
A first appointment on the event, entitled “Daunia da pedalare”, will be held on Monday 22 April at 6pm at the San Pasquale library, with the participation of Rai journalists and commentators Andrea De Luca and Beppe Conti, requested by Tommaso Depalma, former mayor of Giovinazzo and advisor to Michele Emiliano on projects regarding Puglia as a sports tourism destination. Also announced were the political presences of the vice president of the regional council, Raffaele Piemontese, of the regional councilor, Gianfranco Lopane, of Emiliano’s councilor for local authorities, Rosario Cusmai, as well as of the mayor Giuseppe Pitta.
On this occasion, the mayors of the Daunian Mountains will sign a memorandum of understanding aimed at creating an information and promotional path, specifically in relation to the Giro d’Italia Challenge.
