«Bruninho, I already see you as coach» Gazzetta di Modena

MODENA. Bruno Mossa de Rezende greeted Wednesday evening the PalaPanini. A goodbye to the Brazilian champion at the stadium that saw him grow, as a man and as a player, and saw him as the protagonist of wonderful victories and prestigious successes. However, Bruno as a player will no longer set foot inside the Volleyball Temple because the next Modena Volley match will be played in Verona, like the eventual final of the group valid for fifth place, while next year the setter will return to play in homeland. A sensational career, many unforgettable memories and a final, emotional farewell to Modena and its people who, right from the start, welcomed Bruno as a hero and made him an honorary citizen of Modena.

BRUNO’S MOTHER
Real Move, Bruno’s mother, didn’t want to miss her son’s last match wearing the Modena Volley shirt at the PalaPanini and, on Wednesday evening, she cheered from the stands. «He was very emotional, from the moment I entered this building. I had the impression, even before the match started, that it would be such a beautiful and emotional evening. Which it actually was. Bruno’s life was very happy here in Modena. We have always been happy to see him in this city and so happy. We came many times to see him play and we too always had a great time in Modena. It’s fantastic to see how this city, its inhabitants, love my son so much.”

FAMILY MATTER
Bruno’s talent comes from his mother because Vera Mossa was a great player. He played five years in Italy (two in Perugia and three in Sumirago, in the province of Varese) and was part of the Brazilian national team with which he participated in the 1980 and 1988 Olympics, as well as the 1986 world championships. «Bruno he is also from Modena, without a doubt – continues Vera Mossa – none of us can know what can happen in life, but it is possible that Bruno could return to Modena, perhaps in a few years. He could certainly return to work in the world of volleyball, covering a different role than what he has always done, that of setter. He has played a lot, and will play again next year, but now his time has almost come, he will stop playing soon. We are all curious to understand what he will do after playing volleyball.”

“BRUNO, BE A COACH”

The mother is always the mother and Vera Mossa, the person who knows Bruno best in the world, tells us in advance what Bruno certainly won’t do in a few years. «He would be a very good coach, but at the moment it doesn’t seem like he has much desire to sit on a bench. I think that, despite his current desire to continue playing, he will remain in the world of volleyball. Maybe as a manager, why not. As a coach, however, it seems very difficult to me.” Vera Mossa enjoyed the party dedicated to Bruno from behind the scenes, watching her son sign hundreds of autographs and take just as many selfies with all the fans crowded in the atrium of the PalaPanini to give him a final farewell. Then the cutting of the cake and a toast with everyone present for a very excited Bruno who will never forget this special evening.
