The two Nerazzurri-owned strikers, currently on loan at Marseille and Brest, could be sold permanently in the summer

Inter is looking with great attention at France, specifically in Ligue 1. Not in search of possible transfer targets (or at least not mainly), but to find out news about two of its players, currently on loan at Marseille and Brest: let’s talk about the forwards Joaquin Correa and Martin Satriano. Two elements that are not part of the Nerazurri’s future plans and which, in the event of a permanent transfer this summer, could bring fresh money into the coffers of the Viale della Liberazione club.

Correa and Marseille

The French experience of Tucu it is proving to be a real failure, between continuous physical problems and a feeling with the environment that has never blossomed: 17 appearances in total in all competitions, of which only 8 as a starter and not even a single match played in full, and a balance sheet that reads 0 goals and 0 assists. A decidedly insufficient performance, but his future could still be in Marseille: this is because his possible redemption in the summer does not depend on his numbers, but on the goals achieved by the club.

In the event of qualification for the next edition of the Champions League, in fact, the French team would be obliged to pay 10 million euros into Inter’s coffers, as required by the clause agreed upon at the time of the loan transfer with conditional redemption obligation. For this reason, the Nerazzurri are rooting for Marseille, 10 points away from fourth place in the league, but still in the running in the Europa League, where they reached the semi-final (also thanks to Correa, who converted a penalty kick into the final lottery against Benfica).

What future for Satriano?

However, the situation regarding Satriano is different: the striker born in 2001 was sold to Brest – where he had already played in the second half of the 2021/22 season – on a dry loan, without any option to purchase outright. The Uruguayan is not experiencing an exciting year in terms of personal numbers (only 5 goals scored between Ligue 1 and the French Cup), but he is a key element of his team, surprisingly second in the standings and in full swing for a historic qualification for the Champions League: 31 appearances in total, of which 19 as a starter, and a lot of dirty work at the service of his teammates. A performance that could convince Brest himself to review the agreement with Inter, but which could also arouse the interest of other clubs.
