A fall downhill, at full speed, when there were just under 15 km left until the arrival of the first stage of the Tour of The Alps, from Egna to Cortina on the Strada del Vino. The protagonist was the British cyclist Finlay Pickering, 21 years old, who was unable to brake after a left bend and went off a small bridge, ending up in the vineyards below. For him he was admitted to hospital and suffered a concussion but, fortunately, no more serious consequences.
