Paris embassy hosts the Italian rugby federation for the national day of Made in ItalyThe Italian Embassy in Paris hosted the Italian Rugby Federation on the occasion of the match between the Italian and French women’s national teams as part of the Six Nations Tournament held in Paris last Sunday.

The event, organized in collaboration with the Paris office of the ICE Agency and with the Italian Rugby Federation, focused on the link between sport and Made in Italy with particular reference to the food and wine sector and the excellence of Italian products which were presented on that occasion.

Organized within the framework of the initiatives planned for the first edition of the National Day of Made in Italy, the initiative saw the interventions of the Vice President of the Italian Rugby Federation, Giorgio Morelli, the Director of the ICE Office in Paris, Luigi Ferrelli and the legends of Italian Rugby Marco Lazzaroni, Sara Barattin and Leonardo Ghilardini, as well as the captain of the Italian women’s national rugby team Elisa Giordano.

“Sport is increasingly a central element in international and diplomatic relations: a very important tool for strengthening and improving them. It also represents an important tool for the promotion of Made in Italy in the world, particularly appreciated by France which in 2023 imported Italian goods for over 63 billion euros, confirming the strategic importance of the French market for our country”, stated the ‘Ambassador d’Alessandro in her speech.

The event saw the presence of over one hundred participants, including journalists, economic operators and representatives of the institutional and sporting world.
