The last derby for Allegri and Juric was like a last day match, almost as if the two teams couldn’t wait to go on holiday. This is the sad summary of a challenge in theory full of meaning, in practice poor in emotions and occasions. Vlahovic missed a sensational one after ten minutes, then Juve made another couple which then disappeared in the second halfwhen instead the best opportunities were del Toro and foiled by Szczesny.
THE INDIVIDUALS – There was very little good play, few good individual performances. Among the Granata, Ricci and Linetty do well in midfield plus Buongiorno in defense, Rabiot, the usual Bremer and Cambiaso are sufficient for the Bianconeri and then nothing more. Locatelli very slow, McKennie awkward and a separate discussion for Chiesa, always gives the impression of playing his own game against everyone else or just alone. But he was also the right man at the wrong times, because he gave Vlahovic an assist that was enough to push towards the goal instead of the post and in the second half he offered Juventus’ only outburst with a shot that was even rejected by Danilo, speaking ofthe right man in the wrong place. A bit like Allegri on the Juventus bench, at least for these days which are missing not from the slogan #finoallafine but more simply from the word end.
