You work with a smile; on the doubles schemes, of course, on the speed of the legs, the reflexes at the net, the serve and the precision in passing…. but in the doubles specialty the decisive amalgam, the touch of powder, is given only by the feeling and the relationship that is created outside the playing field. After laying the foundations last year with the success of Monastir, the Errani/Paolini team, Lozano/Furlanhas grown, consolidated and in 2024 has relaunched with the third round at the Australian Open, the success in Linz and, now, the most prestigious semi-final… in the WTA 1000 in Miami.
“We have a fantastic relationship with Jasmine and Renzo – explains Pablo Lozano, the historic coach of Sara Errani -, we work with great seriousness and serenity, we have a lot of fun on and off the pitch. The tournament started with a very difficult round, the girls did well to stay clear and take it home in the tie-break match. Then little by little they adapted to the pitches and conditions and played better and better in the evening quarter-final match (against Alexandrova/Kromacheva; ed.) they played it really well”.
