Rome is close to the first strike: 2 million on loan and 17 million on redemption, Gasp hopes to have him already in Bergamo
Scrapers any moment now (hours not days), Zirkzee in mid-January or so. Operations are ready, second script calibrated and signed in the USA. The Friedkins’ gift to Gasperini and therefore to Roma is punctual and targeted, writes Ugo Trani in Il Corriere della Sera. On Tuesday 23 December the ownership, sending the message to those who represent it in Trigoria, gave the ok for the double purchase in the winter market session. Nothing vague, though: Massara was warned that the coach will have to be satisfied with the profiles that have been identified for a few months now. So the Friedkins gave the certainty to Gian Piero that he will immediately have the blue striker and in a few weeks also the Dutch one. Objectives, therefore, to be achieved as soon as possible. Acknowledgment must be given Massara of having taken the situation head on, intending to bring Raspadori already in the next few days in Trigoria. The feeling is that he should make it, supporting Gasperini who would like to at least bring him to the bench on January 3rd, when he will return to Bergamo for the match against Atalanta. The sporting director, after Christmas, relaunched with Atletico: after offering 500 thousand for the onerous loan and 15 million for the right of redemption and receiving the no from the Spanish managers who would have wanted 22 million, he made the proposal which should be the right one, 2 million plus 17.
Gian Piero has pushed to be able to work with the blue in recent days, pointing out that Atletico Madrid will return to the field on January 4, while in the Premier there are two days before the end of the year. Massara understood. And yesterday, from his office in Trigoria, he forced the timesaware that Raspadori has competition from at least two other Italian clubs, Juventus and Lazio. Better, therefore, not to run the risk of mockery. There is less rush, however, for Zirkzee: United knows that the only club interested is Roma. There is discussion about the price: the offer is 5 for the onerous loan and 30 for the obligation (plus 3 million in commissions). The Dutchman, however, can’t wait to leave Manchester. He is in open contrast with Amorim who blatantly failed his performance. The Giallorossi sporting director, meanwhile, prepares the exits: Ferguson he can return to Brighton, Dovbyk will follow him to the Premier League and Baldanzi go to Verona. Gasperini is also waiting for the defender. Disasi is liked, but Chelsea can’t give him for now: the loan slots are exhausted. Tot-tenham, however, considers Dragusin untransferable.
