A bit of a winger – right or left, it’s all the same -, a bit of a “disguised” centre-forward, a bit of both: this is how the Federico Chiesa idea was born. As soon as he was made aware, Luciano Spalletti said: maybe. Maybe because Lucio di Chiesa is a great admirer, perhaps the greatest: he defined him as the Sinner of the ball before Italy-Macedonia at the Olimpico in Rome, he gave him ownership throughout the four matches of our Azzurri during the sad European Championships in June 2024, he has always considered him the wild card for a light trident attack or a winger for a heavier offensive line. The opportunity is all within the Reds’ house: Salah is in the Africa Cup of Nations and could stay there until January 18th, the date of the final, Isak is injured and will be injured, perhaps, for the whole season, so depriving Federico even for a coach, Slot, who doesn’t see him, is not variable at all. Juventus reflects and waits, Chiesa reflects and questions himself: in the months of our possible, probable adventure at the World Cup next June, being seen again in Serie A could represent the expected turning point considering the esteem that coach Gattuso has for Federico, always called, always absent from the Azzurri meetings due to personal choices.

Church on loan would be the perfect solution to solve the problems ahead. The Juventus market, meanwhile, remains focused on the role of the midfielder, perhaps with an aptitude for pure playmaking. Guido Rodriguez is a name on which the club has focused, but which has not yet found the square of the circle: there is no unanimity to launch the offensive seeking a discount on the ten million euros requested by West Ham to give the green light to a 31-year-old world champion with Argentina, but with only five appearances in the Premier League this season.
