The vice president is also ambassador of the first edition of the MagiCup and on the occasion of the presentation of the youth tournament he spoke about the Nerazzurri club
Javier Zanetti, vice president of Inter, he is ambassador of the first edition of the MagiCup, an international youth football tournament that offers grassroots teams from all over the world the chance to face teams from elite academies. The tournament will take place in June at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida and will feature U12 and U13 teams from the world’s most prestigious academies, as well as teams from countries such as Ivory Coast, Ukraine and Brazil.
The former Inter captain spoke about this with Skysports UK who also asked him about Cristian Chivu and his arrival on the Inter bench: «I am very happy and very satisfied because I think Cristian deserves this opportunity. Even when we were teammates, Cristian was a very intelligent player. Now he has dedicated himself to the role of coach and we are very happy and pleased that he is leading our team. It was always clear that he had this ability to be a coach.”
«I predict a very balanced season, especially in Serie A, because there are four or five teams separated by just one point. The important thing is that Inter is always competitive. And I think this applies whether Inter play in the Champions League or in Serie A. We always demonstrate that we are competitive and this certainly brings us much closer to success”he added on the Nerazzurri team.
The team that was a life partner for him: «Inter is the team of my heart, the team I am in love with. I received offers from Spain and England to go and play there, but the truth is that I stayed at Inter because I really wanted to leave my mark at this club. I knew that our president at the time was making great sacrifices so that Inter could win important titles and, well, time has proven me right.”he concluded.
